The Great Outdoors

I know. It's a picture of a paving slab. But for me it's all about the sunlight. I've been thinking a lot about the outdoors this morning, about how important it is to me and how much I've missed it over the winter. As much as we tell ourselves we won't let winter stop us going out, it inevitably does. Three months of commuting in the dark, high winds, and icy roads, have all once again lead to a period of bear-like hibernation. The temperature is set to get just a few degrees warmer over the next few days, and I'm really ready for it.
