Drove out to look at some old apple packing sheds and on a small side road spotted these mail boxes.

The postal service is threatening to cut mail deliveries down from daily to 3 times a week, starting with the cities. I suppose it is inevitable it will eventually happen in rural areas too. Apparently it is because so little snail mail is being sent these days.

You can see how dry everything is - a decent rain is  badly needed.
