Bother! I scared him off.

I guess my stalking skills are not very good. This guy decided not to hang around and let me take his photo.

I have nothing else - I stood and watched a flock of spoonbills fly in to the estuary, landing quite close by. It wasn't until they were settled and feeding that I realised I should have tried to capture their flight.

Sometimes it is good  just to look. I remember when my son had his camera stolen while traveling in Africa, he declined to replace it. He said that trying to take a photographic record of his travels got in the way of just enjoying what he was experiencing.  

Sometimes I have to agree with him.
