North Kessock reflections
It was cold and foggy early this morning , too cold for David to go on his bike so we took him over to work as he's covering for someone today.
Bought a hot bacon wrap, bread and eggs from the M&S t the garage and then went to Merkinch. The view was stunning as the Firth was so still and the reflections of North Kessock looked really colourful. Ord Hill is slightly covered in fog and you can see the beginning of the Kessock Bridge. The White cottage tearoom no longer has it's for sale notice up and it's been closed each time we have driven past. The zigzag you can see is a well looked after garden, filled with heathers made into different shapes.
We could see several seals and a heron flew really low over the water. Curlew, oyster catchers, wigeon and red shanks were among others also seen.
The owls were very vocal this morning but I have nt seen them. The birds are really starting to sing now beginning before seven. Sunrise is at 7.50am setting at 5.13pm.
Ashlene and Richard have just enjoyed their romantic M&S dinner. Too full for pudding though :)
Mike bought me a lovely, single red rose and a curved wooden heart :)
