Wired!

Following on from yesterday's BANG, things still aren't right with the electrics.

Mr A pulled the light switch to bits last night, but still the fuse box tripped when he tried to switch the power back on.

This morning, he noticed (purely by chance) that there was a scorch mark around the ceiling rose. It appears that it wasn't the light switch after all, but steam condensing in the ceiling rose and causing an arc in the wiring.

He's spent most of the day trying to figure things out; I think it's sussed now though we won't know for sure until we fit the new ceiling rose.

Today's blip is our consumer unit, that he opened up to investigate. It looked complicated so he didn't do anything else with it.
