Welcome to Berlin

Up very early today for a flight to Berlin, on a day trip for a first look at Hyundai's new Tucson car, a briefing on its design and an interview session with the company's design chief president.

On arrival at Berlin's Tergel airport these three cheery hostesses with their balloons were waiting to greet us. We were then driven into the city past the famous Brandenburg Gate to our destination, an old power station dating by to the 19th century which is now transformed into an edgy and interesting function centre.

We landed back at Heathrow at 5.30pm to a beautiful evening sky streaked with pink, and a sea of red tail-lights on the coagulated M25. Ah well, otherwise an interesting and enjoyable day.
