Why do birds suddenly appear.....

Why do birds suddenly appear, when I am wearing rubber gloves or peeling spuds?

It was a very quiet but busy day again. I usually go to the office on a Wednesday but with it being half term week, I had my doubts about Paul being in and I knew that Shauqat wouldn't be in. I only go to the office if I have a meeting - hardly ever - or I have a hair appointment - that's next week - or to be sociable for the hell of it.

So I stayed in the house.

I spent the morning getting a report to balance and then spent the afternoon with help desk calls.

The doorbell rang in the middle of the afternoon and it was a van man with a small package from Amazon for next door. It wasn't ticking so I signed for it and left it in the hall for collection later.

Jo from next door came round soon after I'd finished work for the day. Jo and Simon were on the way to the Blues ground to watch Birmingham City against Middlesbrough.

That's it for today. I have eaten too much rubbish and feel a bit dozy. A whole bag of minty Aero Bubbles is a bit over the top. They fell off the table at one stage and I had to go scrabbling under the table to retrieve them. I expect I'll be finding hairy balls for weeks to come.

There were too many birds to choose from.
