Hot

Just a bit too hot today to go very far afield.  What we did we did early, and spent the rest of the day indoors under a very hard-working air-conditioner.

This canna lily down the back garden seems to be thriving when all else is frying.

And I'm getting so fed-up with endless watering of the garden, trying against all the odds to keep it all alive.

But I can guarantee that as soon as the season breaks, the lawns will turn green almost overnight, and seemingly dead plants will come alive.

We have two growing seasons here in SA - one is Autumn and the  other Spring. 

Autumn - or Fall - is possibly the best season of all, and we all enjoy it after the excessive heat of summer.  Officially it starts on 1st March, but I think the hot weather will continue for a while longer yet.
