Blue sky
Its been a challenging day on the hill today.
We woke to a grey but high cloudbase - but as the morning wore on it quickly descended and then the snow came.
It's a complex lift network to navigate in good weather - but stopping every 400m to clear the snow from your goggles & get you bearings quickly got tiresome.
Deciding to call it a day we took a long run down to Megeve so that we could get the big express chair back up & over to 'our' side of the mountain & then take just a couple of little lifts and runs down the South face to the gondola home. In a brief interlude I noticed this patch of blue - & I *think* Mont Blanc poking out. We used the lull in the snow to take the long easy red home at speed - and got onto the gondola just as it completely whited out.
Snoozes on the couch seem well earned this afternoon.
