Green shoots
Following on from yesterday's almost spring-like shot, some actual green leaves. The sun lighting them up is misleading. It poured most of the day. There is now an inch of standing water outside the back door which, with probably no damp course, explains the interior walls feeling, well, wet.
Sorted out the mystery of the missing book invoice today at school - the bookshop didn't bother to send it. So on the plus side, we haven't paid for the books, but on the minus side we need the invoice to prove we didn't defraud a bunch of parents, so we have to pay it now - a year on.
Discovered today that my typing speed is 76 wpm. TallGirl's is 7 wpm. She blames the ipad. So she's going to work on that. A brief chat on business email etiquette was linked and I postulated that you should never use an exclamation mark in a business email. She gave the example "What if you're sacking someone?" "Well, you shouldn't do that by email - do that in person." "What about 'You're sacked, sad face'?"
(Not sure that works written down, but it made me laugh out loud.)
In other news, I seem to have gotten myself into another fine mess by suggesting the school should have a little vegetable garden. Sigh.
