We are family.

We had a lovely day and evening with family including our pets.

Early this morning i heard our budgie flapping his wings wildly and chirping for a few minutes. When we got up there were a lot of feathers on the floor and even more in his cage. There was also blood on the side of his cage.

We got him out of the cage and he couldn't fly and chirped angrily when Andre tried to look at him. He took him to the vet who said that his flight feathers had come out. The vet thought he pulled them out but I wondered if he got a fright got his wing caught and it pulled the feathers when he became unstuck.

What ever happened we're glad his wing wasn't broken. Upon the vets advice we got him out of the cage for a while. He climbed up onto Kanyes shoulder for a bit then we transferred him to Marleys shoulder as he sat playing his game. Later in the afternoon we bought him a bigger cage, the one he's been in was a little small for him. We want our birdy to be happy!

We also let the guineas out for a run around the house this morning. Wicket is the brown and white one, wookiee who is incredibly placid and mars favorite is the fluffy white one.

We had our family over for dinner tonight, it was awesome to see everyone. It feels like it's been ages but really it hasn't. All the cousins get on so well and love playing together!

My super talented sister in law cut the boys hair as well as Andres. They all look so great!

Was really relaxing being with family. Perfect way to end the Saturday.
