Bad hair day?

This shot, taken from a distance, doesn't do justice to this cascade of palm seeds. We once found a bunch like this in the road and tried to get it into the car, only to discover that it was very heavy - and scattered seeds all over the place, so  had to abandon it. Shame, it would have made a great Christmas decoration.

A slow start to getting away to the hills today, but both HH and I finally managed to send off important emails and our conscience are greatly relieved. Unfortunately, it meant we missed a fun golf competition – 3 clubs only, and 9 or 18 holes, as the prizes were for the best 9. We wouldn’t have got there in time anyway, but a massive traffic jam held us up for an additional hour. We never did discover what caused it.

Back home now, and dog walked (well, I drove and she galloped). We saw the rain that has been threatening all day approaching across the valley, and it’s now busy preparing the garden for my planned assault on the weeds tomorrow. Not sure how it may affect HH’s golf plans.The temperature must be a good 12 degrees Celsius lower than in Rio – bliss.
