More snow
Although by yesterday evening most of the snow had gone, overnight it snowed again - indeed there was more. To get the use of the car, I drove Tricia to Lochmaddy and then went on to enjoy Berneray in the sun.
Sadly it did not last and several hail storms as well as thunder and lightening came through.
However on my trip to the surgery for redressing later in the afternoon, the sun came back out and lit up the snow on the South Uist hills. Hills or mountains?
I'd contend that with Beinn Mhor the highest at 620m starting from the sea and with a real remoteness to them as well as a long, and very boggy, walk-in that mountains is what they are. Certainly with snow on them today, they had a real grandeur.
