Britain's Got Tan

Waking up this morning to beautiful sunshine and the sound of people laughing and walking along our street, it honestly felt like waking up on holiday.

We pottered around Chorlton, ate bratwurst from the BBQ outside the bakery and sat with coffees watching the world go by.

Spotted this beautiful European Eagle Owl (what's will all the owls lately?) and his owner on Chorlton Green. I took a few shots but selected this one as thought that the owner's expression was quite comically mirroring the owl's.

Spent the afternoon in Manchester shopping and lounging in Angel Meadows with some friends. Manchester looked great today - gleaming skyscrapers, water fountains, street performers and everyone dressed in their summer clothes. Its safe to say after a week's heatwave, Britain's Got Tan.
