Calmer seas
After such windy and miserable weather yesterday, today was bright and sunny. So we went out and about partly on business and partly to buy a small piece of furniture that Mrs Mac had spotted on Gumtree. This was located in Donaghadee, so I took the opportunity to catch a shot of the lighthouse and harbour. Building of the first stone harbour began in 1616, though there had been a jetty here long before that. The present harbour dates from the 1820s. The harbour is also home to a lifeboat station and you can see the Trent Class lifeboat, Saxon, in the picture.
