Hartside Top

This was the top of Hartside today in stark contrast to yesterday. I was in the car park and cried. The cafe was closed. It wasn't the effort I put in cycling up there - I drove on the way back from Hexham Hospital. (Much preferable to the A69 where I was blown almost to a standstill on the way there) The problem lie in the fact we had run out of teabags. Every kind of tea in the cupboard but just ordinary Tetleys. Jasmine, Thai, Green tea, Camomile, Passion fruit, blueberry, Raspberry,  lemon, peppermint and lots more. No tea!!!!! No cash on me at the hospital - my god no tea!!!!!! So I thought I will go back via Hartside and go to the cafe via ATM in Hexham. I drove through wind, rain, cloud, fog and even the odd glimpse of sun. I drove up mountains along death defying drops and snaked around hair pin bends with occasional glimpses of the horrifying drops below the unfenced road. Got to Hartside. Cafe shut - NO TEA!!!!!!!

This is a picture of a fantastic view over the still snow capped Lake District Mountains an excellent panorama (in the right conditions) The water at the bottom of the sign  are my tears.
