Angel Lane
Another little corner of Penrith. Looking towards the turrets of Barclays Bank from Great Dockray. A brilliantly sunny, warm day. I love the buildings in Penrith particularly when the weather is like this - it enhances the sandstone and pastel coloured buildings giving it an almost foreign feel. I took loads of photographs today, mountains, sunsets, streams and contented sheep but I was taken by this. We tend never to look up at what is above the ground floor. Penrith has some amazing 'tops' of buildings. The HSBC bank and the Nat West have very ornate towers on top. And by the cinema there are some lovely thirties 'tops.'
