Weather app says RAIN!

We are in Edinburgh until Monday and our weather app is showing rain, rain and more rain for the whole of our stay.  Boohoo. 

Ann had a very nice lunch at the 'Braid Hills Hotel' with some old friends, but by the time she took me on my afternoon walk it was chucking it down. 

She said, ‘Molly, lets go to Portobello.  We can walk all the way along the prom, you can go off your lead and at least you’ll stay clean.’  So that is what we did.  We love ‘Porty’.  When Ann first moved to Edinburgh in the early 1970s, the only good thing about Portobello was the huge outdoor swimming pool.  The rest of it was just a run down tacky seaside suburb of Edinburgh.  Now there’s trendy bars, restaurants & shops and luxury flats overlooking the Firth of Forth.  How times change?!!

PS - Do any of you Edinburgh Blippers know if there is some sort of ‘bug’ going around Edinburgh?  Two of Ann’s friends couldn’t make lunch today because they were ill, one friend she was going to meet tonight is ill and one friend who she’d planned to meet for lunch tomorrow is ill.  Or maybe it’s just an excuse 'cos no one wants to meet us???
