Comic Relief 2015. Katie's school DO this occasion/fundraiser! The national theme of "Make your face funny for money" was put to the children - they were allowed face paint, funny wigs, red noses or funny hair. Katie got quite upset about the "funny" thing. She didn't want to look silly. So we compromised on pretty. She's got best ballet plaits, with a beautiful sparkly bow, and pretty face paint. With a red nose ladybird. 

Because getting her ready for school in the morning AND doing Comic Relief makeup isn't enough, she decided to go along with the swimming report she'd had to research for homework, she wanted to look through her London 2012 book and has decided to take that to school with her today. 

We are going to the ballet after school today. The Northern Ballet are touring this year's children's production and we're off! She's very excited and has her pretty ballet skirt & top lined out ready. We are going to go see a friend afterwards (it's on early and is only short, plus we've not seen Vicki in ages!) So it should be a nice evening all round! 

Edit: Katie wanted this to be her blip for today! She loved the ballet. It was great, absolutely excellent performance, story telling, sets, everything. And extra good, some of her friends were there too!
