planning

As predicted, springtime has retreated to somewhere south of here. Or east, maybe.

A grey, windy and showery day. 10º colder than yesterday. Scottish weather.

I've had a quiet day. I went into the city centre over lunchtime, mainly to get a sandwich but also some new underwear. Not an emergency, I should add.

I had a baguette with pâté de campagne and cornichons. I could live on those (ideally with red wine) and hadn't had one for a year. I'd make them at home if I could get decent pâté de campagne.

I did some laundry, wrote and posted a handful of postcards, organised flowers to be delivered to Ma Taylor tomorrow, and (most importantly) decided what I'm doing tomorrow.

I had always planned on going to see Carcassonne play Bourgoin in division 2 of the pro league (rugby, of course). Then I saw advertising for Stade Toulousain playing Montpellier tomorrow. Tempting - no travel required and a better time (2.45pm) than at Carcassonne (6.30pm).

Then I noticed that the best seats at the Stade game are €70. Next best are €55. End of debate. Carcassonne it is. I've bought my train tickets, so I can't change my mind.

The Blip is the street where my apartment is. The bed sit I lived in when I was living here is 2 streets (and 40 years) away.
