London 2012 Day 15

Go Mo! - After watching the semis of the 5,000m I must admit to doubting whether Mo could win the final - sorry Mo. By winning the 5,000m tonight he must surely have established himself as Britain's finest ever distance runner - a far cry from his humble beginnings in Somalia, arriving in London from Mogadishu at the age of 8 and speaking very little English.

Also in athletics USA won their fifth successive Olympic gold in the women's 4x400m in a world record time and not to be outdone the Jamaican men's 4x100m relay team shattered the world record on their way to Olympic gold. Usain Bolt celebrating his third gold of the games by doing the 'Mobot'.

British medals in the Canoeing with a gold for Ed McKeever in the 200m kayak K1 and a bronze for Liam Heath and Jon Schofield in the 200m kayak K2. In Boxing a gold for Luke Campbell with victory over Ireland's John Joe Nevin in the bantamweight final and who couldn't be pleased for Tom Daley winning bronze in the 10m diving, such a pleasure to witness his joy of winning a medal.
