From the dark corner.....

A lull in the proceedings....

It was a spur of the moment decision to catch the bus to Glasgow today. Mom's idea but I didn't mind. It was Paddy's Day. Mom reckoned for some reason that someone might be dressed up as a leprechaun wandering about somewhere.

Anyway, there wasn't one but it was only Tuesday.

We went to John Lewis first of all as per usual and tried out all the settees and armchairs on the furniture and lighting floor. It wasn't for any reason but seems to be something we do these days. We had lunch after that. I like it there.

We then wandered the length of Buchanan Street down to Central Station. I think all male buskers are trying to sound like Paolo Nutini these days. I took a picture of Cone Man as usual. I didn't need anything in particular so we went back to the coach station after that and waited for our bus which turned up ten minutes early allowing the driver to get off and wander into the bus station presumably to spend a penny. Actually I think it's 20 pence to have a pee there. The last time I went there for the loo, I got my case stuck in the turnstile and a big grumpy man had to rescue me.

I have avoided going there since...

Our driver emerged again. The poor man was watched intently by about ten impatient pensioners - not me! - as he walked back and opened the bus door. He fiddled about with his equipment - lights and ticket machine - before allowing us to get on. Mom said in a deafiningly loud whisper to the lady behind her 'I hope he remembered to wash his hands!' which had everyone sniggering.

We went upstairs and were able to sit right at the front so I could go 'Brrrrrrm! Brmmmmmm!' pretending to be the driver all the way back.

That's it for today. I ran down to the beach after dinner before Hollyoaks to catch the setting sun but it was such a misty day that there was nothing much to see.

Track? I really must apologise! I have had this song going through my head for the last couple of days after the news of the possible Blipfoto demise. Time to hope for the best and keep blipping I suppose. As for the song, I have liked Roger Whittaker since I was about six - The Last Farewell
