Pog Mo Thoin!
I hope you have all had a lovely St. Patrick's Day and don't worry about kissing my arse. It's only Monday and it's a bit of an odd request this early in the week. In mom's home town (Killarney), many German people started moving there years ago and the local people used to tell the Germans that Pog Mo Thoin - pronounced pogue mahone - was a popular way to greet people and wish them a nice day.
Amazon sent me an email in the morning asking me to review my Storm umbrella so I did. I expect people will think I'm bonkers but I'm used to that! - Storm umbrella review.
Anyway, it has been a reasonable day weatherwise here. After Jeremy Kyle, we wandered up to TK Maxx very slowly as I had a touch of Labyrinthitis / vertigo today. It was nothing like I'd had years ago when I couldn't even lie down without holding onto the floor to stop me falling off, more just a slight giddiness and feeling of being a little off centre. I was a bit like one of those really annoying shopping trollies at the supermarket that keeps steering itself slightly to the right and has to be constantly pulled back to the centre to avoid crashing straight into a pile of tins of beans. We said 'hello' to the seagulls as we walked by but I didn't give them anything today. Staring up them flying around my head and trying to take pictures would have made me feel really dizzy!
We had tea anyway and I bought a little rucksack with birds all over it and then we dawdled slowly back via Hourstons where mom bought a Radley birdcage umbrella she took a fancy to yesterday.
The picture was taken at about 5pm while dinner was being cremated. I put my coat on and went down to a very cold, windy seafront. I was only out ten minutes!
Track? I felt it had to be something from an Irish band today and here is one of the most gorgeous Thin Lizzy songs ever with truly awesome guitar. The DJ in the rock pub I used to frequent years ago used to play it every night as the last record of the evening - Still In Love With You
