On the road again

Another Sunday morning, another race.

This time at beautiful Harewood House in Yorkshire.

We had the best part of 2000 athletes this morning, were subjected to quite possibly one of my worst jokes...

Advising athletes of a short delay due to traffic struggling to get to the venue I told them I'd spoken to West Yorkshire Police and had an explanation....

It seemed a lorry load of terrapins had overturned in Leeds City Centre.

Police said it was a turtle disaster....

The groan was audible even in a large open space
