Partial eclipse over SW Ireland

Wow! It was actually clear skies here and Himself rigged up something incredibly clever to see the partial eclipse with: here is the eclipse projected through a metal colander onto a large sheet of white cardboard! It worked brilliantly. The image is slightly fuzzy but atmospheric! And what a strange light.

We had a delicious meal at Budd's  last night in Ballydehob in honour of Himself's birthday. The outside is painted an amazing turquoise and orange and inside is calming whites and greys. The chef is also a photographer so some good prints on the walls. All very pleasant.

Due to posting early and the excitement of the eclipse, I haven't had a time to look through all the Derelict Thursday entries yet so will postpone that until tomorrow if you can stand the suspense.
