Back blip - solar eclipse
Took this out of the kitchen door. Our attempts with pin hole cameras and colanders didn't work as there was too much cloud.
I had planned to use a night shot from our hotel but we arrived in dark and showery weather and by the time we had collected a car and travelled to our hotel we had to make a quick dash to find a restaurant. ( The adjacent one had already closed)
Heading for the first lights along the promenade we found it was a Tex Mex Steak house. Not our preference but we found fish on the menu and a very accommodating waiter.
I had two fillets of sea bass and Chris had a brochette of monkfish and prawns, both came with fresh vegetables and we shared the fish. A great start to our holiday on the Med.
By the time we left there was a hooli blowing. I tried the odd shot from our balcony but it was just too wild. So here you have my not too exciting shot of the solar eclipse. ( See Wilsden Walker for a really good compilation)
The wind has dropped, the sun is up, we have had breakfast and are about to take a promenade along the Pine Walk and search out old haunts. Happy Weekend everyone!
