Deer, deer

Today was the second part of our photography course (we did the first part last year) so Technophobe and I trundled off to Charlecote Park, which was the venue.
Charlecote Park is a National Trust property about 4 miles out of Stratford. There are huge grounds (which you might imagine as it's a park) and considerable numbers of deer.
The course was great - although don't ask us what we learned, as we couldn't really précis what we did. Although we may have been the naughty girls in the class, we could not be accused of not concentrating. You CAN concentrate AND have fun.
We now know lots more of the functions on our cameras and what they do - but sometimes we may not know why or how they do what they do, but at least we're getting to grips with it. Sometimes if you know what things do, it gives you more confidence to try out the other settings and experiment more.
So experiment we did. This is a herd of deer that we saw when we were on our way back out of the grounds, after the course had ended. We slunk across the grass - well, slunk as much as we were able, carrying all of our gear, notes, thermos flasks, etc, and managed to get some photos of the deer before it was too dark. We did see these deer in about the same spot on our way in, in the morning, but didn't have enough time then, which was a shame because it was much sunnier - and warmer.
I'm off now to sit by the fire and warm up.
This stalking business is very chilly.
