Wakey wakey

Another scorcher today which meant that, for some reason, loads of people had cancelled their swimming lessons which meant that we practically had the whole pool to ourselves. Brilliant! Both kids did really well and we all had a lovely play followed by yet more ice creams and a play in the mini playground.

Swimming is tiring at the best of times but combined with the heat both kids were wiped out. O took herself off for a lie down (uncharacteristic for a four year old) and slept for an hour and we tried to wake D up after two hours but he wasn't having any of it! We opened the curtains, took his sleeping bag off him, opened the door and made lots of noise but he refused to get out of his cot for a further hour despite having his eyes open and playing with a car.
It's hard to imagine that this is the same child that barely slept at all for the first year of his life!
