Busy day
This morning was our U3A discussion group meeting with the topic of children's rights. John, a retired lawyer, gave us some cases to read, then in 2 groups we discussed them and reached a conclusion. It was a very interesting morning, although there was a lot of the "well I got smacked it it didn't do me any harm" type of remarks. Though there are very different views and personalities, there's no escape from the fact we are all children of the 40's, 50's and 60's.
Then Mr C picked me up and we drove to town to take Ella and Nathaniel to the park and to soft play before meeting #3 daughter after work in PizzaExpress. The blip is Nathaniel, now almost 15 months, reading his Peppa Pig book. His speaking is coming on well. Not only can he say stuff like dog, rabbit etc, but also, caper - his parents enjoy good food so he must have been tasting them and like Ella, likes sour foods. - though she was quick to pick up on the fact they had pudding on the kids' menu. She was not allowed chocolate brownie - she got Icecream as a "special treat".(Once when I told her we were going out for a treat, meaning to the theatre, she asked hopefully, "Is it chocolate?"Well it will be on Sunday as I have an Easter Egg Hunt planned in the garden, and her mum has agreed).
