Next stage of the garden coming together

Out to the gym first thing, enjoying a well earned coffee afterwards and straight home for lunch.

Highlight of the afternoon for me was another trip to the tip to relieve ourselves of even more garden waste than could go in the green bin, lots of bits of wood, piles of old clothes, a couple of bags of rubble and a few bags belonging to our neighbour to save him the trip.

Meanwhile, Susan finished off the bed you can see here, moving plants and planting out the yew and dogwood she bought yesterday. I thought the branches of the old apple tree cast an interesting shadow on the newly painted fence. While Susan was working on the bed I was inside cooking dinner for our friends who are coming on Monday.

Another day just how we like them.
