It's grey up north!

We spent half of yesterday crawling up the M1 and M6. We were so pleased to arrive at the oasis of Booths in Carnforth and then move on to where we are staying in Silverdale. We woke to gentle rain and it's hardly stopped all day today, so it was off to the lovely Abbott Hall Gallery in Kendal plus a bit of shopping. On the way back, driving along the edge of the Kent estuary in Sandside, the layers of grey and sparkle looking north over the water were striking. I pulled in at the side of the road and risked life and limb (and a thoroughly soaked camera) to get a few shots. It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow.
