HIGH AND MIGHTY

This grand sculpture shows the first Christian Roman Emperor – Constantine.

It stands alongside York Minster, near the South Transept. Only a few metres away are the Roman Legionary Headquarters, now buried under the actual Minster.

Sporty Bit . . .I am still coming to terms with footie results yesterday. After 49 years I should be used to it . . . BORO Supporters the world over know the feeling of not quite making it. I have every confidence that by the next game, on Saturday, 18,000 plus supporters will enter the Riverside Stadium and pay homage to a grand team – a grand arena – and a grand area.
