Kylesku bridge..
..woken up this morning by a knock at the door. A bit before 8. I had been awake for a while - that sort of half sleep, when you know exactly whats going on (today it was grey and miserable), but just lie there and think, I'll just lie for another five minutes..
Bang, bang at the door.. The solar panel people had arrived two hours early, well the electricians had.. Dressing gown on, and tell them how to get in the shed. By the time I was dressed, washed and shaved, cooked Tanni's mince, kettle on, and out to see them, they'd virtually done. A new consumer unit fitted to supply the solar panels, and it shouldn't trip out anymore.. The solar panel fitters would be her at 10..
The solar panel fitters turned up at ten, prompt. Almost like they'd been sat round the corner killing time so as not to arrive too early. Looked at the new rails that had been delivered here. Looked at the brackets that fix the solar panels to the rails. And then said they didn't have the brackets that fix the rails to the bolts on the roof. And they didn't have the solar panels either. Half an hour later and they'd gone too. They'll come back another day with the right bits.. Argghhhh..
Delivery van turned up around 11ish with the solar panels.. Still no brackets tha fix the rails to the roof bolts though!!
Phone call from the hotel, they're desperate for vegetables having used all over Easter. A quick harvest of everything we have, and down the road to deliver. Took this drab shot of Kylesku bridge on the way back. It was windy, cold and grey and drizzley. I've enhanced the colours to get some brightness into the day!
Potted on some seedlings in the greenhouse, releasing some cell modules to plant up again.
A few minutes ago I could see the village under the veil of cloud - we're back in the tupperware now..
Tomorrows forecast is better and should stay fine through to Friday - Saturday..
