..what's your favourite tree?..
Mine is the Larch. It's a beautiful tree. In early spring it's graced with these minature "shuttlecocks", in a glowing soft green. As the age they become darker. The tree, grown in a "park" environment, where it doesn't have to compete against others, will take on a graceful conical shape with branches hanging down. Then in the autumn, the needles turn a lovely golden colour, setting the hills on fire.. I've planted a few on the croft.
Spent the morning sorting out the Development company tax returns, and P60's, and paying tax. HMRC gives me a lovely piece of software, but I always have difficulty finding a particular form, even though I do it once a month..
After lunch, spent the afternoon in the greenhouse, potting on seedlings. Need another day yet.. Need to get in the polytunnel too, to clear the overwintered beds of salad, and sort out plants for hardening off before planting outside on the croft. Starting to get busy now..
