Under the Blossom Tree

Picnicked with my sisters, bro-in-law, Squidge and Baby Ana under a beautiful Blossom tree in Beech Road Park at lunch and it was pretty much the perfect Spring day (if only Angus had been there).

We all kicked back nattering, Jo brought her Bose speaker with some tunes on, Squidge played happily, Ana slept peacefully and we munched on cheese and cucumber baguettes and hula hoops in the sunshine.

Then we moved it back to mine for cuppas and cakes in the garden with more hazy sunshine and tunes.

There really isn't any other way to describe it other than a happy and pretty much perfect day with those I love. Caught this tender moment between Squidge and Ana. She is so gentle with her and very intrigued by her. She said "I love Ana, Mummy" earlier in the day. And I honestly think she does. Ana smiled back at her too and my sister and I gave each other a knowingly look. I think we can see the future with these two.

The fresh air has officially wiped Squidge out though - she tried to fall asleep in a draining bath tonight! That's a first!!!
