10 Good things about today:

* Clitheroe this morning, one of our favourite Lancashire towns
* Platform Gallery, Bryne's wine shop,  the Castle
* The Inn at Whitewell for lunch, one of the best - kippers superb
* Over the stepping stones across the Hodder for a good circular walk
* Curlews, lawings and oystercatchers all displaying, first sand martins, swallows and willow warblers of the year
* Lots of lambs everywhere. A farmer told us they were about half way through lambing
* Tea back at the Inn at Whitewell - this place is always good for people watching. One wedding, and one stag do (the latter arrived and left by helicopter. Show offs !)
* Dunsop Bridge, to walk up the valley
* Stop over on the way back at Jeffrey Hill - the Sun Catcher sculpture by Halima Cassell,  with the Hodder Valley and Bowland beyond Sums up the day because .......
* All day, not a cloud in the sky - really fantastic weather
