Old, dead tree
First, I would like to apologize for my absence. I really have no one good excuse, but many little excuses that just added up. I could say that things have been busy - but aren't we all? Truthfully, it has been busy, and very stressful, but I have really been focused on just trying to help J these days.
Last week we worked out little patooties off getting the trust accounting and taxes done and out the door by April 15. Right on the heels of getting this done, we had our personal taxes and accounting to be filed, which was dependent upon the trust taxes and accounting. But they both got done.
Getting this done was the last major thing that had to be done for the trust. But, in the midst of all of this J's sister was harrassing the attorney and us everyday, and sometimes many times a day. Poor J was coming unglued at the seams.
So after the taxes were all done, we just took some time off from everything to relax. We didn't go anywhere or do anything, we just chilled out. I decided to just focus on J and try to get him to relax.
The exciting thing is that we started something new. J is overweight and has some health issues that aren't getting any better. And I need to lose about 20 pounds. Of course all the stress with the trust issues hasn't helped matters much. We have talked about our health alot the last few months, but hadn't really found the motivation to make the necessary changes. Then, J watched the movie "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead", and decided that he wanted to start juicing. So, we got our first juicer, and have been juicing 2 out of 3 meals a day. We decided to focus on just getting healthier. The weight loss will come. So, for the last week, we are just getting the hang of it. For us, this is a huge step forward, and for J to decide to do this is nothing short of amazing! I will keep you posted on how this works out.
