I'm Singing in the Rain

Or at least humming!

This morning when Murphy and I went outside, I could not believe how chilly it was. I looked at the thermometer and it said COLD! Welcome to the first day of June in New York State!

This little male Hummingbird was sitting atop the shepherd's hook out on the back deck when the rain began falling (once again) from the sky. The little bird suddenly raised his wings and gave a good shake, as though shedding the rain! Shortly afterward, he flew off....probably because the rain turned into a torrential downpour!
