Job Done
That's it, then, Civic Duty performed, though with no sense of satisfaction or optimism. Popped our votes in the post this afternoon when we nipped out to buy a few items at the Community Shop.
Our Broadband connection continues to hobble along. We have been without any Internet at all for most of the day. I am feeling very frustrated at being unable to watch Masterchef and fear seeing spoilers before I have absorbed any of the Finals Week programmes.
Netflix being infeasible, we resorted to our own shelf of DVDs last night and re-watched The Green Mile. I really enjoyed it. Currently I am being threatened by a choice of last week's Guardian Prize Crossword or Beetlejuice for tonight's entertainment.
DIY is cancelled for the weekend as I really do not think that the dust generated by grinding concrete is going to benefit Mr L's chest one whit. Yes, I passed my lurgy on.
Whilst we await full connectivity, I am working my way through a pile of unread photo magazines and studying the cover disc Video tutorials. It is proving to be a productive exercise.
Oh - and the CH boiler is broken. Just to add to the week's joys.
