Heavenly Light

We spent an enjoyable day exploring Mexico City, which meant many photographs. I knew, however, I already had this image in camera from one of our first stops at the cathedral on the Zocalo. I was taking my usual photos inside this spectacular church, when this group of nuns stopped to view the statue of Jesus which I had just shot. The light hit them just perfect, creating a glow that can only be described as heavenly. I squeezed off four quick shots before they were on their way leaving a much plainer scene behind. Nothing I shot the rest of the day compared to what I had captured first thing.
