Another Languedoc year...

Familiarity

Tonight we're staying with our lovely pals Sarah & Andrew in their wonderful converted farmhouse in deepest Buckinghamshire. We're surrounded by ten acres of lush pastures where sheep graze just feet from the sitting room window. Pheasant cocks vie for the attention of hens and roe deer pitch up to scoff the pheasant food. It really is magical.

It's also lovely to see one of my niece Poppy's photos in the dining room - another piece of the Languedoc to greet us. Those are Jacques' hands holding the boules in the photo. Jaques lives in our road in Roujan.
