Backlit Tree
We went for our walk mid morning - the overnight chill from the air had gone and the sun was really warm. The wind was still a bit cool though.
Through the woods the smell of the wild garlic is really beginning to be noticeable - the dogs keep stopping to sniff it!
On our way to the little wood known as "Oglethorpe Whin Covert" I spotted this tree. The light was from behind and above - shooting almost directly towards the sun which was just a few degrees off the meridian angle even though the shot was taken at 11:30. I liked the backlight effect emphasised against the darker woods. The sunlight can be seen penetrating the woods - in the height of summer the light hardly gets through the canopy.
The rape crop was very, very yellow and I have had to turn the yellow luminance right down to stop it blowing out.
