Aperture on Life

The Cattle are Back

Weeks later than originally planned, the farmer has finally let the young steers out of their barn and onto the field by the house. These and their twenty or so mates, have been prancing around with joy. Normally the grass would have been long and luscious a month ago but, the sudden onset of late cold stopped it in it's tracks.

Having taken the plastic protection from a young hedge a few days ago, I now realise I have been somewhat hasty. The tongues of these youngsters will soon reach the new growth. Another job for tomorrow!

It's been a lovely day and covering clouds weren't around for the most part but, the wind has been hateful. The garden is very exposed and I soon gave up trying to brave the chill.
