Shadows

One of those days when I've had few photo opportunities, working and in a hurry between things.

A late meeting in Manchester, but returning home the weather improved dramatically. At the junction I went right around and parked at the entrance to the landfill, got out and took a few pics. I liked the long shadows of the trees cast by a setting sun, across a field green with a growing cereal crop. Lapwings were displaying, there were a couple of oystercatchers, and a whitethroat was singing nearby. The M62 is beyond the field to the right.
