An Artist's Life

Santa Fe Sun!

This is the Inn at Loretto. I chose this picture out of all I took today to show the architecture which is the signature style of Santa Fe and the Southwest. It's a fabulous hotel and very spendy. My work was in the gallery within a few years ago, but the ownership changed and I opted out when the commission rose to 50%.
We gallery-hopped like tourists and finally wet our whistles at the venerable Dragon Room before heading up Canyon Road to a delicious dinner at El Farol. They treated us to flan for a birthday dessert. The tapas there are fabulous and inventive. There was a blues band in one of the mazes of rooms that make up el Farol, the oldest restaurant in Santa Fe.
