Archie is NOT scared of a toy!
I keep clipping a bit more off Archie, as I see huge chunks I missed. I've got the table set up in the spare room, and it's fine inside, as I can just hoover up all the hair. He definitely needs de-tufting. He's not good at standing when I get near his face, though. Can't think why...
I unpacked the BBQ stand that arrived yesterday, but it looked so complicated, I just left it - I need to be in the mood for such assembly things, and this weather is NOT BBQ-stand inducing.
When JR came home we went to a wee local Vietnamese restaurant we've been meaning to try for ages... Excellent. And they put the raucous muzak off, as we were the only folk in. Brilliant. I had delicious little rice paper rolls before the main event - banana, chocolate and peanut butter ice cream cake for dessert.
On the way there I spotted a cupboard at the big bin. On the way back I examined it more carefully. Yes, I think it would fit in my shed. It was too heavy to shuffle it home, so we came back with the car. It may have to go on its side to fit, with the doors removed, but I'm pretty pleased with it.
Booked the train tickets to London in August! Very exciting, we're doing a house swap - we've turned down so many from all over the place, and don't know if we will do them much again because of Archie, but London was too tempting to turn down! And anyway, we discovered schnauzers because we did a house swap that included a dog! Archie is booked in with his favourite sitter.
This morning Archie and I popped out between showers for a whirl round the block. This toy has been hanging on the fence down the road, in various positions, for about a week. It took Archie several goes before he could walk past it without barking and growling like a mad dog. He'd get used to it in one position, next time we'd come, it had moved to another position! However, he now sees how silly he was - it's just a toy. I'm tempted to claim it if nobody else does...
