No they are not Triffids just my fern uncurling its leaves.  But it does look quite peculiar doesn't it.

Quite a wonderful day spent in the company of a wonderful couple in the village who invited us to lunch.  And what a feast we did have.  We also had a blip meet as WickWanderings2 came as well so it was like a farewell party.  I have never seen so much food prepared and although we did our best, there was still a lot left over.

Tonight we had another mini Christmas having found a box of crackers so we sat eating home made sausage rolls, drinking sherry (one of our Christmas morning tasks)  wearing silly hats and reading out dreadful cracker jokes. Well it had to be done.

Looking forward to another lie in tomorrow and drinking coffee in bed.
