Keeping the Lights On

Images of Research opened today in Strathclyde University's Technology and Innovation Centre in George  Street, Glasgow.  The exhibition is here all week, and then will circulate to other Glasgow venues.
I particularly liked this picture of the boy doing his homework by candlelight. The blurb asks the question - 'What would we do if the lights went out?' This image draws attention to a new approach that increases use of renewable resources by balancing reliability against cost, benefitting the consumer and the environment.
The challenge for researchers entering the exhibition was to create an eye-catching image that conveyed their research idea. So many great images - try and see it or see it online in due course. Last year's images are available here.  Also I liked the juxtaposition of the pictures with the outside environment through the window to George Street and its wall art. The additional upload shows more of the outside art.
