Back to work today. Discussions with staff to keep up to date on issues. Discussions with potential applicants for our recently advertised Depute CEO post. Discussions with senior colleagues on management issues.

Then a drive in horrendous weather and flooded motorway to Stirling for discussions on Modern Apprenticeships. Then a further drive in even more horrendous weather to Dundee for an evening meeting of and discussions with the Tayside Area Support Team.

That meeting finished around 19.30. Once I'd negotiated my way out of the one way system and the new V&A works - which had a less than endearing way of looping you back on yourself - I headed out on the road to Perth to get home for 9.30. As I left Dundee the low cloud and heavy rain had dispersed and the low sun caught the supports of the bridge. Worth stopping for.
