1940...Howarth

It is the Forties Weekend in Howarth and Chrissie and I whizzed along to meet up with Kathymay and lovelupins17. What an utterly splendid day we had...the sun shone, there were photos every which way you looked, everyone was in a great mood and the company was great. Hundreds of people were there and at least half of them were dressed up in amazing costumes...and very willing to be photographed. 

We watched a pipe band march past, we tapped our toes as the dancers jived, we walked up and down the hilly high street and we took pic after pic. 

We had lunch in the 'Russian Cafe'...where Lupes and I got all the attention from the owner he he he...some of us just have it, Kath :))

I have been looking through all the photos I took and it was difficult to decide on just one pic....there are a few more here if you are interested.
